Corded Petticoat

White cotton muslin
"Sugar 'n Cream" white crochet yarn

Drafted own pattern

This project is part of the Historical Sew Fortnightly challenge. This was a UFO (or Unfinished Object/Outfit) that I wanted to finish for the #2 Historical Sew Fortnightly challenge. It was fairly simple to make, but very time consuming.

This used 3 yards of white 45" wide muslin, folded in half. I then sewed the white crochet yarn as the cording in the petticoat. *Make sure you stagger the cording so you don't end up with a buckle in the petticoat! There are many great tutorials on how to make a corded petticoat so I won't go into it here, but I used the guidance of these site:
